Committee affirms 2026 appointments and unanimously elects officers

The Missouri Valley Complex Committee reviewed and accepted the 2026 membership list and meeting schedule distributed in advance. The committee confirmed stakeholder and at-large appointments, including that Steve New will replace the prior Ag Equestrian Center representative.

Following the appointments, the committee conducted nominations and cast unanimous ballots: members cast a unanimous ballot for Kayla Coe as chair and later elected Steve New as vice chair. The committee discussed secretary and coordination duties: Steve has been serving as the interim coordinator/secretary but said he will not continue long-term in that capacity after becoming vice chair. One member volunteered to take minutes in the near term while the committee and county staff determine a sustained staffing arrangement.

The chair said she will coordinate with the county liaison about staff support and future agendas.

The motion to accept appointments and adopt the meeting schedule carried earlier in the meeting; officer elections were carried by unanimous ballot.
