Villa Park manager Mike Rivas seeks applicants for multiple village jobs

Mike Rivas, village manager of Villa Park, used the village manager's minute to urge residents to apply for several open positions, including a community development director, lateral and part-time police officers, roughly five parks department roles related to the pool and public works labor.

Rivas introduced the announcement by saying he and his dog, Zoe, were "on the hunt" for good people to work for the village. "We're looking for a community development director," he said, and added the police department is hiring "lateral officers as well as part time officers." He also named multiple parks positions and said the village needs public works labor.

He directed interested applicants to the village website: "They can go to our website and click on the button where it says employment, and they can fill out the application," Rivas said. He described the kinds of candidates the village seeks as "great team players, people who care about each other, who care about the community, who care about the citizens they serve."
