Olmsted County celebrates recognition as a top workplace in Southeast Minnesota

Olmsted County announced it has been named by Workforce Development Inc. as one of the best places to work in Southeast Minnesota for 2026. The statement highlighted the county’s mission to build a sustainable foundation for a safe, healthy and welcoming community through public service and said employees across departments — from public health and safety to roads, parks and veterans’ services — work every day to serve residents.

The announcement emphasized employee wellness programs and resources supporting physical health, mental well-being, professional growth and work–life balance, and framed the recognition as reflecting the “passion and commitment of our entire workforce.” The county thanked Workforce Development Inc. for the recognition and expressed pride in its staff and in serving Olmsted County residents.
