Board approves Sierra Vista representative and highlights July 29 community event

The board voted to advance Nick Rainey’s application to the Board of Health. Chair (speaker 2) introduced Rainey’s resume; a board member moved the application, it was seconded and the board approved the appointment.

The chair also announced that Cochise County was selected for the Rural Assembly Everywhere program. The county’s event, themed “Eat and Grow for Health,” will be held July 29 at the Elfrida Community Center from 9 a.m. to noon and will include local farmers, seed distribution and neighborhood conversations. The event will be free and county staff said they will publish press materials as the date approaches.
