Committee directs staff to solicit bids for veterans tribute project after demolition

Committee members reviewed progress and design options for the veterans tribute site where demolition of the former Dairy Queen is complete and asked staff to solicit bids for the project.

"If you've driven on 63, you can see that the Dairy Queen is now gone," the project lead reported, noting the demolition and commending the excavator. Staff presented construction alternatives (post-frame wall, split-face block, brick) and two fountain options: run on city water pressure or install a pump and electrical service.
