Commission selects mural option and several sculptures for Tamarac’s Inspiration Way

The City’s public‑art program returned to the commission April 6 with revised mural mockups and a slate of sculptures available for the Inspiration Way program.

Art consultants presented three mural color options; commissioners favored the all‑white Tamarac logo treatment. For Inspiration Way, staff indicated several preferred pieces previously approved were sold; the commission approved six sculptures now available (three earlier approvals plus three newly available selections) and asked staff to continue outreach to artists to fill remaining display pads. One commissioner requested staff prioritize placing at least one sculpture in District 3 and asked public works to coordinate footings and installation logistics.

Staff will begin procurement and installation steps for the selected works and return with a plan for filling remaining locations and proposed District 3 sites.
