Farmington leaders review 2025 projects and municipal budget at two-day retreat

City Manager Brigham Mellor opened Farmington’s two-day council retreat March 6 by calling the session to order and outlining administrative priorities for 2026. Finance Director Levi Ball presented a financial review of the municipal budget for 2025, framing last year’s fiscal performance and current budgetary pressures. Public Works Director Larry Famuliner reviewed major Public Works projects completed in 2025, while Assistant City Manager and City Engineer Chad Boshell presented GIS-based data visualizations assembled by the city’s GIS specialist.

The presentations were paired with a best-practice exercise led by Mellor aimed at council procedures and decision-making. No formal votes were taken during the retreat; Friday’s formal session adjourned at 5:00 p.m., after which councilmembers and department heads met for a private dinner and team exercise.
