Hillsborough Mayor John Ciccarelli delivers final 2025 message, thanks staff

Mayor John Ciccarelli delivered a short final message to Hillsborough on Dec. 31, 2025, wishing residents a happy New Year and thanking town staff for their efforts over the past year. He said he expects to see the "fruits of our labor" in 2026 and that he will remain active in the community after leaving office.

Ciccarelli opened the remarks by addressing residents directly: "Hello, Hillsborough," and identifying himself as mayor, framing the remarks as his final message of 2025. He said, "I wanna wish everybody a happy New Year," and described 2025 as a productive year for the town.

He singled out municipal employees: "I wanna thank the staff for all the work they've done. They are truly the engine that that drives the township and, makes Hillsborough 1 of the best places to live in America," Ciccarelli said. He added that he will continue to contribute to the town after his term, stating, "I'll be around town. You'll see me contributing continuing to contribute to Hillsborough."
