Village clerk says Westshore Engineering will lead MDNR grant work for proposed new park; federal grant monitoring ongoing

Amy Haack, the Village of Fruitport clerk, told the council on Jan. 19 that she has been in contact with Westshore Engineering about serving as the prime professional for a Michigan Department of Natural Resources (MDNR) grant for a proposed new park property.

Haack said Westshore Engineering is agreeable to the role and that work has progressed on cost and schedule estimates. She added that she is monitoring the status of a related federal grant and will report more details at the Feb. council meeting.

The minutes do not specify grant amounts, federal agency names, or contract terms; council did not take a formal vote on the project at the Jan. 19 meeting.
