The Duchesne County Commission handled several routine items on March 30, approving vouchers, surplus vehicles, volunteers and minutes, and recognizing community achievements.
Deputy Clerk-Auditor Oaklee Larsen presented vouchers (checks 172423–172461) totaling $332,606.00; the Commission approved them unanimously. Clerk‑Auditor Chelise Curtis presented three sheriff’s vehicles (two Durangos and a Ford F-150) recommended for surplus because of mechanical issues; commissioners approved the surplus disposition by unanimous vote. Human Resource Generalist Tommi Mascaro presented three volunteers who had passed background checks; the Commission approved the volunteers.
The Commission also approved the March 23 minutes by unanimous vote and recognized the Tabiona High School girls basketball team for winning the 1A state championship; coaches introduced themselves and team captains discussed the team’s work. Two closed sessions were convened later in the meeting — one on personnel matters and one on pending or reasonably imminent litigation and real property — and no action was taken following either session. The meeting adjourned at 1:13 p.m.
