The Lake Stevens School District Board of Directors on March 11 unanimously approved the consent agenda, including several warrants and payroll for February 2026, personnel changes, grants and other routine items.
The board approved vouchers and invoices dated Feb. 26, March 4 and March 13, 2026, and accepted the February 2026 payroll totaling $13,710,966.68. Directors also approved personnel actions including classified hires (temporary general support para Lea Banks; Riley Guerrero for 1:1 Specialized Program; Jalon Lumar and Jacob Schmitt as 8th assistant track coaches; Will Ruefenacht as Temp Field Tech II) and recorded resignations (Augustina Asonye; Jinger Johnson; Nick Page). The motion passed unanimously.
The board accepted donations: a Glenwood PTA grant of $14,135.61 for classroom teacher requests, a $1,000 donation from Special Olympics Washington for Lake Stevens High School Unified Sports, and a $750 donation from the Kiwanis Club of Lake Stevens to LSHS Key Club for services at Aquafest 2025.
Directors also unanimously approved a motion to approve final acceptance of public works projects and approved student travel: LSSD students will attend the DECA International Career Development Conference in Atlanta April 24–29, 2026; Director Paul Lund emphasized the value of experiential learning.
