The Washington House of Representatives adopted Senate Concurrent Resolution 84-10 by voice vote Thursday and ordered the measure transmitted back to the Senate, then completed final procedural business as the Legislature adjourned sine die for the 2026 regular session.
Representative Fitzgibbon moved adoption of SCR 84-10 and told the chamber the resolution “specifies the status of bills that have not passed all the way through both chambers into the governor's desk,” urging colleagues to support it. Representative Corey characterized the measure as "some cleanup housekeeping" and urged members to vote yes.
The presiding officer called for a voice vote. After the roll of approval, the Speaker said, “The ayes have it,” declared the resolution adopted and ordered it immediately transmitted to the Senate. Earlier in the proceedings clerks had read messages from the Senate and from the House confirming signatures on multiple measures, including references to House Concurrent Resolution 44 0 9 and a signed substitute Senate bill.
Following the adoption and other closing items — including approval of the Senate journal for the 60th day — the presiding officers invited staff and guests onto the floor for a sine die ceremony. Senator Richelli moved that the 2026 regular session of the 60th Legislature adjourn sine die; the chamber heard no objection and the session was declared adjourned.
The actions recorded on the floor were procedural and ministerial: adoption of the concurrent resolution by voice vote, routine transmission of signed measures between chambers, approval of the journal, and formal adjournment of the session.
