The Daggett County Municipal Building Authority on March 31 approved two construction change orders for the Daggett County Health Business and Community Center totaling $74,914.20.
Staff member Jesse described Change Order 10 as a bundle of several project change orders (PCOs) that include lead lining connected to the county’s X-ray equipment, curtain-wall framing changes, added closet square footage and HVAC adjustments requested by the fire marshal. Jesse told the authority that Campbell Architecture accepted responsibility for two prior PCOs and will credit the county $8,505 toward the work.
"Change Order 10 encompasses PCO 13, PCO 15, PCO 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, and 22," Jesse said, explaining the scope includes lead lining for the X-ray and other finish and framing items. The change order total stated at the meeting was $63,595.94.
Change Order 11, described by Jesse as two PCOs related to operable-wall construction (a pocket upstairs and blocking downstairs), totaled $11,318.26; the board approved it by voice vote.
A committee member said the items had been reviewed in previous Thursday meetings and that the costs were within the project contingency. The board moved and seconded the approvals and voted aye.
Staff said the architect’s forthcoming credit will be applied to the next payment to the firm. The authority authorized staff to finalize change orders and requested continued updates on remaining contingency and schedule.
