At the Nov. 26 meeting the San Dimas City Council approved several consent calendar items, introduced Ordinance 1318 and agreed to pull a tree-related item from the minutes for further review.
The clerk read Ordinance 1318, described as "an ordinance of the city council of the city of San Dimas, County of Los Angeles, amending chapter 3.3, title 3, revenue and finance of the San Dimas Municipal Code, regarding bidding procedures under the Uniform Public Construction Cost Accounting Act." The council moved to waive further reading and introduce the ordinance.
During roll call on the consent calendar a council member (speaker 4) asked to pull item 2—the tree ordinance/minutes—because the minutes did not, in their recollection, document a prior decision to exempt slopes. A staff member (speaker 6) said their recollection differed, describing either continued enforcement on slopes or an exemption for single-family properties; the council member asked staff to provide the audio from the prior meeting for review and the item was tabled pending that review.
The council then moved to approve consent items 1, 3 and 4 together; the chair announced the motion carried with three votes in favor and two absences. The ordinance introduction was read by the clerk and the council authorized waiver of further reading to introduce it for subsequent consideration.
