Richland County approves final one‑year renewal of gasoline and diesel contract

The Richland County Board of Commissioners voted to approve the third and final one‑year renewal of the county's gasoline and diesel contract at its March 24 meeting.

Commissioner Cliff Mears introduced Rachel Troyer to present the contract renewal. "This is our final renewal for our gasoline diesel fuel contract," Troyer said, and noted the contract is currently with the incumbent vendor named in the meeting as Inglefeld Oil. Troyer said the renewal would be effective May 1, 2026, and that the county receives an 11‑cent per‑gallon discount at participating BP and other listed pump sites.

Troyer also explained a unit‑based bid price included in the packet is a snapshot of the market on the day of the 2023 bid opening; the packet showed gasoline and diesel bid‑day figures recorded from spring 2023.

A motion to approve the one‑year renewal was made, seconded and the roll call recorded assent in the transcript. No substantive amendments to the contract terms were recorded during the discussion.
