The Alamo Heights ISD Board of Trustees voted to approve an attestation to submit an application for the enhanced Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA) for the 2026–27 cycle. Chair moved to approve the enhanced TIA attestation and a board member seconded; the board then took a voice vote and the motion carried.
District staff described the enhanced TIA proposal in detail before the vote. Administration said the enhanced program would extend designation and proportional stipend calculations to principals, assistant principals and deans based on leadership evaluations (TPEST) and campus growth metrics; the enhanced program uses a proportional distribution (a multiplier) tied to available funding and requires annual requalification. Staff said the attestation materials document compliance with House Bill 3 and local designation procedures and must be submitted as part of the district’s application package.
HR and program staff described internal controls: calibration of numbers, communication to staff about designation status, and an attestation process in which district officials certify program completeness and compliance (superintendent and board president sign-offs were described). Administrators said fewer than 10% of Texas school districts are eligible for TIA enhanced at this time, and that Alamo Heights ISD is among the few districts able to apply.
Board action: Chair submitted the motion to approve the 2026–27 enhanced TIA attestation; a trustee seconded; the board recorded ayes and no recorded nays on the public record. The motion carried and the district will proceed to submit the enhanced TIA package per the described attestation process.
