Milford council approves hires, Western Rock lease and moves to executive session

At its April 1 meeting the Milford City Council approved several routine and contractual items.

Personnel: The council voted to hire Oakley Hardy as assistant pool manager following a motion and second; the motion passed by voice vote.

Leases: The council approved a land‑lease agreement with Western Rock for a runway‑site development after confirming FAA and utility‑easement approvals; a motion was made and carried.

RV park: Earlier in the meeting, the council moved to approve the second‑phase expansion of the temporary trailer/RV park contingent on submission and review of detailed plans and a contract addendum (see separate article). The motion to allow the developer to submit plans passed and was recorded as carried.

Executive session: The council then voted to enter executive session to discuss the upcoming budget, negotiations and potential litigation, with roll call indicating support from the majority of members present.
