The Pocomoke City Planning Commission reviewed a proposed boundary reconfiguration affecting tax map 400, parcels 309 and 310, owned by Dooley Bay LLC.
Staff said the proposal moves part of one parcel into an adjacent parcel without changing zoning (both would remain B‑2) and that the proposed lot shapes and setbacks meet town code. The change was described as an administrative configuration adjustment rather than a rezoning.
An engineering representative noted recurring drainage and localized flooding in the area—runoff from Glen Haven and other higher land collects in a ditch near the parcels—and urged commissioners to consider drainage in any permitting or future development. The applicant said the change is partly to alter tax assessments and that the owner had been awaiting the change since October.
There was no request for a change in zoning and no formal rezoning vote; staff and the applicant discussed recordkeeping and the applicant left drawings for staff files. Commissioners expressed appreciation that the matter was on the agenda and characterized it as a routine administrative action that nonetheless raised local drainage considerations.
