At committee meetings March 26 the Allentown board advanced several procurement items for final consideration at the regular meeting.
Administration recommended SiteLogIQ be approved as the district’s energy service provider for guaranteed energy‑savings and ESCO projects; that recommendation was moved to the regular meeting and carried by voice vote. The administration also asked the board to move forward an agreement with Hillis Karnes Engineering Associates to provide third‑party testing and inspection for the family and community resource center project, at a cost not to exceed $25,000; the motion carried.
Finance staff requested approval to move a $41,076.76 purchase order with CDW to outfit classrooms with electronic devices to the full board agenda; that motion carried as well. Chief Cuff said the purchase is in the current year’s budget and is related to expanded classrooms at Sonia Sotomayor Dual Language Immersion Academy.
Motions to move each item to the regular meeting were made, seconded and approved by voice vote; committee minutes show the items were carried forward for final action at the full board meeting later that evening.
