At its March 16 meeting the Archbold Village Council voted to suspend the three-reading rule and adopted two emergency resolutions.
Resolution 2026-11 authorizes the Village Administrator and Finance Director to advertise for bids for miscellaneous street resurfacing (Contract 3-2026) and was passed after the council suspended the three-reading rule. Aaron Babcock moved to suspend the rule; Gary Dominique seconded. The suspension passed on a roll call vote and the resolution later passed on a roll call with all members voting yes.
Resolution 2026-12 authorizes the Village Administrator to execute easement agreements with Ohio Gas Company and was also passed under suspension of the three-reading rule. Gary Dominique moved to suspend the three-reading requirement; Kevin Eicher seconded. Aaron Babcock moved to pass the resolution and Mike Evans seconded. The measure passed by roll call with no nays.
Both measures were declared emergency measures in their texts, allowing immediate effect pending administrative processing. No amendments to either resolution were recorded at the meeting.
