Board approves five-year ParentSquare communications contract; virtual phone option to be priced later

Key financials presented: a $750 onboarding fee and multi-year recurring costs (the administration read out year-by-year pricing during the meeting). The virtual phone module was not included in the immediate contract language; administrators said the vendor would prorate that component if the district added it mid-contract at a later date and that the board could seek price certainty when negotiating final terms.

Board members supported the five-year base agreement for cost stability, while some asked to confirm whether virtual-phone prices could be locked-in. One director framed the platform as a student-safety and liability benefit that consolidates messaging across sports and district communications. Another director cautioned about any midyear additions and asked for policy updates to accompany the new system.
