Pasadena’s transportation officials are asking residents to review and comment on a draft short-range transit plan that lays out potential updates to bus routes, service hours and Dial‑A‑Ride operations over the next five years.
The Pasadena Department of Transportation said the plan was developed with extensive community outreach, including more than 1,400 rider surveys. The public comment period is open through April 3 and staff encouraged both riders and non‑riders to provide feedback online.
In the same report, city staff previewed a greenways project aimed at calming neighborhood streets and improving safety and connections for people walking, biking and rolling. Planned improvements under consideration include speed humps, curb extensions, traffic circles and upgraded pedestrian crossings. The department has identified four north–south corridors for the initial greenways network: El Molino, Wilson, Sierra Bonita and Craig avenues, and said community outreach is expected to begin this spring.
City officials said the two efforts are intended to make local travel safer and more convenient and to better connect neighborhoods with parks, schools, transit and businesses. Residents seeking more detail or to submit feedback were directed to the city’s project webpages listed in the report.
