Councilmember requests independent review of staff turnover, governance training and other agenda items

During the Sept. 17 meeting, Councilmember Holly Tillman requested that the council place several items on a future agenda, including designating a delegate to the League of California Cities, hiring an independent third party to investigate staff turnover, and scheduling governance training for council members.

Vice Mayor Trupiano separately asked the council to agendize establishing a process for the council to provide a position on proposed legislation and to review the city’s sign ordinance.

Those requests were made as council items (requests and directives for future meetings); none of the topics were acted on or decided at the Sept. 17 meeting. The items will be scheduled for future council consideration per the council’s agenda-setting process.
