Redevelopment commission pledges available Larwell TIF funds to support sewer SRF application; motion passes 4‑0

Commission staff briefed members on sewer problems in the town of Larwell, including a low crossing under US‑30 that requires repair and potential upsizing of a pump station. Staff said Larwell is preparing a State Revolving Fund (SRF) loan application and that local support would strengthen the town’s submission.

Chair (speaker S2) noted there is a modest balance in the Larwell TIF (about $43,000) and suggested the commission could consider committing that amount to studies or project costs that would serve the TIF. After brief discussion about timing and whether local support helps SRF scoring, Commissioner (speaker S11) moved to commit TIF funds to the Larwell project; speaker S7 seconded the motion. The commission voted by voice; the chair recorded "The ayes have it. 4 to nothing."

The chair said he would work with staff to prepare a letter of support and submit it to meet Larwell’s application deadline.

Separately during the same meeting the commission approved routine claims (Carson LLP invoice) and adopted minutes from the February 24 meeting by voice votes recorded as unanimous.
