Conroe ISD board celebrates multiple state and national championships

The board of Conroe ISD opened its March meeting by celebrating recent athletic achievements across the district, including national cheer championships for College Park and Caney Creek and state titles at The Woodlands and in the coed cheer division. Committee member (S2) said the recognitions also included a group of 90 “over 90” students and their families honored for national and state championships.

"Conroe ISD, are we getting tired of winning?" Committee member (S2) asked rhetorically, answering, "No," as trustees applauded several teams and individual athletes. Committee member (S2) credited coaching staffs for the success, naming Abby Constantino and coach Jackson and saying, "They're doing great things."

Trustees noted wrestling successes as well: The Woodlands girls' team was recognized as state champions, and a College Park wrestler celebrated a third state championship and membership on a national team. Board members framed the wins as the product of long-term coaching and program support and as a source of community pride.

The meeting offered no policy votes tied to athletics; the agenda item served as public recognition and celebration of student and staff accomplishments.
