At its March 26 meeting the Monroe County Board of Commissioners approved a series of routine contracts, a grant renewal and an INDOT contract re-execution.
Key approvals included:
- Renewal with Nature's Way Inc. for landscape services at county properties, $41,244.05. Staff noted spring/fall cleanup, mulching, bed maintenance and irrigation services. Commissioners praised last year's native-plant work.
- Renewal with Wells Lawn Care and Landscaping LLC for the Youth Services Bureau, $19,328.46 (line items: $6,120.50 mowing/trimming; $8,032.54 bed maintenance; $4,265.42 mulching; $910 one-time field mowing).
- CORE Restoration contract for convention-center utility-area flooring and mop sink replacement, $1,646.52 (final ARPA project at the convention center).
- A three-year agreement with FNE Payment Pros for scanning/payment software, $12,596 total ($4,095 for 4/1/2026
$4,198 in 2027 and $4,303 in 2028), with treasurer's office noting negotiated savings versus a larger proposed increase.
- INDOT revised agreement for Eagleson Bridge (Bridge No. 922) re-signed to reflect updated contract language (not new funding), amount $5,326,229.62.
All items passed by voice vote, 3-0.
The claims docket for March 26, presented by county accounting staff, totaled $1,892,820.91 and was approved 3-0.
