House honors Adair High School football team for undefeated season and state championship

The Oklahoma House of Representatives formally recognized the Adair High School football team for its 2025 2A state championship and an undefeated district season. Representative Cornwell presented and read a citation on the floor that lauded the team’s sustained success and named standout players and the head coach.

Cornwell read the citation language acknowledging the team’s district dominance and the historical significance of the championship. "They are the first team in Adair school history to have an undefeated season," the citation said, and the chamber applauded when Cornwell called the players and coach to be recognized in the gallery.

The citation is a ceremonial resolution of congratulations; it does not attach policy or funding. The recognition serves as a public commendation for the school, team members and coaching staff and was followed by additional introductions and announcements on the House floor.

The House then moved on to routine announcements and adjourned until April 2, 2026.
