Superintendent Eric Melby said the Bloomington Public Schools board approved a new three-year Achievement and Integration plan.
"The board approved a new 3 year achievement and integration plan, also known as ANI," Melby said. He described the ANI program as established "to help close the state's academic achievement gap and increase integration opportunities for our students," and said the district's latest framework "aligns with our district's strategic plan for student success."
The board did not provide a vote tally in the recap. The district presented the plan as a component of its broader strategic work to improve outcomes and integration; Melby framed the plan as a tool to connect strategy and classroom practice. The board discussed this item as part of a short meeting recap and did not introduce amendments or next-step deadlines in the statements broadcast in the recap.
The board concluded its March 23 recap and said it will meet again in April.
