The Legislative Audit Committee voted to release, without a hearing, an agreed-upon procedures report the auditor's office performed for the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development for fiscal year 2025. Deputy State Auditor Marissa Edwards said the procedures required by HUD were completed and that the information prepared by the Department of Local Affairs reconciled to supporting documentation "without exception."
Edwards told the committee the report will be posted on the auditor's office website. The action was approved by voice vote during the same meeting in which the committee discussed follow-up to the Office of Information Technology cybersecurity resilience audit and approved a letter asking the Joint Budget Committee to seek detailed accounting from OIT.
The release is procedural: the agreed-upon procedures report documents financial reconciliations HUD requires of state recipients of federal housing grants and does not itself create new policy or appropriations. The committee adjourned and announced its next hearing for Monday, 2026-06-15 at 9 a.m. in the Old Supreme Court Chambers.
