BOE, CRA and MBA handle routine petitions, clarifications and bond form

Utah County held consecutive meetings of the Board of Equalization (BOE), Community Reinvestment Agency (CRA) and Municipal Building Authority (MBA) before the regular Board of Commissioners session.

BOE actions included approval of the March 25 minutes and an assessor‑approved review report; staff recommended denying one late appeal petition that lacked factual support and accepting a second petition for potential factual error. The board also accepted two Brigham Young University personal property exemption petitions submitted after the state‑mandated March 2 deadline as cleanup items and approved the 2026 annual statements for organizations listed as nonprofit property tax exemptions. A late greenbelt/farmland appeal filed after the 60‑day deadline citing extraordinary circumstances was approved.

The CRA adopted a resolution clarifying parcel descriptions for the Quicksilver Community Reinvestment Project to ensure the adopted document matched the project map. The MBA approved and authorized execution of IRS Form 8038‑CP related to return credit payments for a qualified bond to Computershare Trust Company.

Each item was approved by voice vote as recorded in the public transcript; public comment was opened in the CRA and MBA meetings but no members of the public spoke during those openings.
