During the public-comment portion of the meeting, Randy Bowden (Maple Valley) identified himself as a family member of the family that previously owned the Switchers Landing property and said he was "disappointed that Council is holding up the project's completion." The minutes do not record a response from council or staff.
The City Manager provided routine updates including presentation of the Golden Apple Award, and staff included an updated annual events calendar and a list of future council meeting topics in the packet. Public Works Director Tawni Dalziel briefed the council on the T-45 street light update and provided a quick update on the pedestrian bridge timeline.
Council resumed discussion of Council Rules and Procedures and agreed to return the topic to a future business meeting. Councilmember Dana Parnello moved to extend the meeting to 9:30 p.m.; Councilmember John Herbert seconded and the motion passed 4-2 with Councilmembers Victoria Schroff and Syd Dawson recorded as dissenting. Mayor Sean P. Kelly adjourned the meeting at 9:25 p.m.
The minutes do not record additional details such as dollar amounts for individual contracts beyond the vendor-payment total, nor do they record further public discussion on Switchers Landing beyond the one public comment.
