Fox Canyon board confirms new agricultural representative, reappoints director and sets committees

The Fox Canyon Groundwater Management Agency board on March 25 confirmed the reappointment of Director Tremblay and appointed Richard Caveletto as the agency’s agricultural representative.

Richard Caveletto introduced himself to the board, saying he is a grower of citrus and avocado and looks forward to serving. The board then moved, seconded, and carried a motion to confirm the appointments. Chair West welcomed Caveletto and said the board values the experience he brings.

The board also voted to continue Eugene West as chair and to retain the vice-chair arrangement; members were assigned to the operations and fiscal committees. The operations committee will include the agricultural representative and the United Water representative; the fiscal committee will continue with the chair and Tony (a standing member handling budget work). The board created an ad hoc subcommittee to select the John K. Flynn Groundwater Stewardship Award and accepted two volunteers.
