Trustees heard several committee reports and routine operational updates at the Nov. 17 meeting.
Electric Committee Chair Trustee James (Mike) Blaies said the committee met Nov. 12 and discussed an IMEA energy efficiency grant and a security‑lighting assessment with the local grade school, noted two versions of a wholesale connection agreement (public and non‑public) that require signatures, and reported crews completed transformer work at Dairy Queen and connected a cell tower. Public Works Director John Tolan said the electric crew has installed about four new services, exercised equipment (found and repaired a loose wire on Unit 9), and is working on OSHA items and scheduling holiday decorations.
Public Works and Streets reports covered completed drainage work on Sleeping Indian, curb replacement on Kristie Lynn, brush cutting, continued leaf‑program operations and planned curb repairs. Trustee Ramon Matchett, Jr. said a vacation hearing for two Saturn Terrace streets is set for Dec. 1. The Public Property Committee agreed to donate a 10‑day pool pass to the Smithton Athletic Association.
Village Administrator Matt Trout reviewed the village’s emergency action plan. Trustee and staff comments were brief and the board adjourned at 7:42 p.m.
