The Fox River Grove Village Board approved its consent agenda and handled a zoning matter during its Feb. 3, 2026 meeting.
Trustee David Joseph moved and Trustee Devin Hester seconded approval of the consent agenda, which included the Jan. 20 meeting minutes; accounts payable for Feb. 3; the award of the 2026 Water Main Improvements bid to Bluewater Construction; a Façade Grant Agreement with All Marine Services; and fee waivers for park, sound, and temporary liquor permits for the Fox River Grove Lions Club Arts & Crafts Fair. Roll call recorded Trustees Hester, Joseph, Knar and Migdal voting yes and the motion passed.
During the meeting Assistant Administrator Bechler introduced Zoning Case 2026‑01 concerning 206 N. River Road and petitioner James Allen. Following P&Z Commission recommendations and board discussion, trustees asked staff to draft an ordinance approving the requested variances and removal of prior conditions (motion by Trustee Knar, seconded by Trustee Hester; roll call 4–0). No final ordinance was adopted at the meeting.
Trustee Knar then moved, and Trustee Migdal seconded, to adjourn the open meeting at 7:17 p.m. and convene an executive session to discuss property purchase and sale; the voice vote was unanimous among trustees present. The meeting reconvened at 7:42 p.m. and adjourned.
Other notes from public comment included requests for a community garden and help revitalizing the Kids Care Court ice rink, a request that Cary Park District pricing for nonresidents be reviewed for Fox River Grove residents, and concerns raised about snow removal enforcement in front of village businesses.
