Bolingbrook trustees unanimously approve software renewal, tree planting and pruning contracts and three land-use ordinances

The Bolingbrook Mayor and Board of Trustees on Sept. 23 approved a package of routine purchases, service contracts and development permits by unanimous votes.

Trustees approved bill listings A and B for combined payables of $1,834,450.38 (Bill Listing A $1,513,943.85; Bill Listing B $320,506.53) by roll call vote 6–0.

Key approvals included:

- Resolution 25R-088 — renewal of the village's municipal enforcement and online permitting software with OpenGov for up to $82,313 (the minutes note this is $17,687 under the $100,000 budgeted amount). The Finance Committee reviewed and recommended the contract.

- Resolution 25R-089 — membership in the Illinois Public Works Mutual Aid Network (IPWMAN) with an annual fee of $500; the Public Services and Development Committee recommended approval.

- Resolution 25R-090 — approval of a proposal from American Veteran Solutions, LLC to install approximately 500 replacement trees in the village rights-of-way at a cost not to exceed $220,000; Public Works reports removing roughly 300–500 trees per year and the committee recommended the plan.

- Resolution 25R-091 — approval of a Homer Tree Care, Inc. proposal for rights-of-way tree pruning; based on per-tree rates and prior annual costs the expense shall not exceed $375,000.

On land-use matters, trustees passed three ordinances:

- Ordinance 25-031 approved a Special Use Permit and Final Development Plan for a planned industrial development at 430 Gibraltar to expand trailer and truck parking for tenant Global Market Foods; variances to open space and parking requirements were included and the Plan Commission recommended approval.

- Ordinance 25-032 approved an amendment to a planned development at 580–590 Kildeer Drive to add 12 spaces for tenant Shadow Equipment and variances for drive aisle width, parking stall depth, front yard setback and landscaping; Plan Commission recommended approval.

- Ordinance 25-033 approved a Special Use Permit allowing Pure Paradise Salon Suites to operate at 440 Quadrangle Drive in the B-4 zoning district; tattoo and massage uses will not be permitted within the leased suites.

All resolutions and ordinances recorded roll call votes of 6–0 in favor; no amendments or dissents were recorded in the minutes. The meeting adjourned at 8:53 p.m.
