Lindenhurst board approves $1.42 million property tax levy for 2026 receipts

The Village of Lindenhurst Board on Nov. 10 approved a property tax levy determination of $1,419,910 that will generate property tax receipts in calendar year 2026 during fiscal year 2026/2027. Trustee Pat Dunham moved to approve the levy determination and Trustee Pat Dickson seconded; the motion passed by roll call with five ayes and no nays.

The Finance Committee had reviewed levy-supported funds and financial projections and unanimously recommended adopting the $1,419,910 levy after its Nov. 2 discussion. The board authorized preparation of a tax-levy ordinance to formalize the action.

The levy funds were discussed in the context of the village’s annual budgeting process; the meeting minutes state the levy supports identified village funds but do not break down amounts by fund.
