The Palm Beach County Commission unanimously approved a development order amendment that allows Crossbridge Church to consolidate several older buildings on its campus and add capacity for a private K–5 school and a general daycare facility.
Applicant Brian Terry described the project as a consolidation of earlier church buildings with demolition of some aging structures, plus construction that would total roughly 60,000 square feet when completed. He said the expanded campus would include classrooms and stacked drop‑off queuing measures to address traffic and that the congregation intends the childcare and school services to be available to community residents, not only congregants. Staff reviewed the application and recommended approval, and the zoning commission had recommended approval.
The board voted to adopt a resolution approving items 3‑a, 3‑b and 3‑c (the development order amendment, permission to allow a private school in the civic pod, and permission for general daycare in the civic pod) by voice vote after a motion by Commissioner Sachs and a second from Commissioner Flores; the motion carried 7‑0.
The county will process conditions of approval and the project will proceed through permitting and building‑permit reviews.
