Lindenhurst board approves liquor license for Tikka Taproom under new owner

The Lindenhurst Village Board on Sept. 8, 2025, voted to approve Ordinance 25-8-2327, allowing the transfer of a Class A‑V liquor license to the new owner of Tikka Taproom.

Trustee Dawn Suchy moved to approve the ordinance and Trustee Patty Chybowski seconded the motion. The board was advised that the previous owner surrendered the existing Class A‑V license, so the total number of A‑V liquor licenses in the Village would not increase despite the transfer. The roll-call vote was: Trustees Pat Dickson, Pat Dunham, Patty Chybowski, Dawn Suchy and Ron Grace — yes; Trustee Heath Rosten — no. The motion carried 5–1.

The ordinance was filed as 25-8-2327. Meeting minutes identify Jaineel Chavda as the new owner who submitted the liquor-license application; the board record does not state that the Village increased the net number of licenses because the prior license was surrendered by the former owner.
