Maywood board approves $753,762.50 alley-improvements contract and several finance items

The Village of Maywood Board of Trustees approved multiple finance and contract items July 19 as part of its omnibus motion.

Finance Director Lanya Satchell presented a financial report totaling $835,494.44 and Warrant List #200257 totaling $1,216,029.34. As part of separate agenda items, the board approved repaying the Maywood Park District $24,150 it paid in advance for Maywood Fest entertainers and approved the village's share of a pool-cost agreement totaling $23,000 for chemicals and operational expenses related to a pool-use agreement with Proviso Township High School District 209.

Under omnibus approvals the board authorized a construction contract with J. Nardulli Concrete, Inc. in the amount of $753,762.50 to complete the 2022 Green Infrastructure Alley Improvements Project and authorized the expenditure of Metropolitan Water Reclamation District (MWRD) grant funds and general funds to pay for the work. The omnibus package also included approval of a Village Matching Grant Business Improvement Program guideline and application, release of certain closed meeting minutes for review, and an annual Accu-tron contract.

The motions were approved by unanimous roll call where recorded. The minutes show no extended discussion on the financial items at the meeting.
