The Hot Springs County Board of Trustees completed a series of routine votes during its March meeting, approving minutes, staffing recommendations, policy revisions and the 2026'27 calendar.
Trustees approved the regular and executive minutes from Feb. 19 and then approved a slate of staffing recommendations. Board members moved and approved the bills and financial statements and adopted several policy revisions on second and final reading, including the acceptable-use policy HHAA. The updated 2026'27 school-year calendar was approved after trustees corrected the last day for teachers.
A separate motion to approve the employment recommendation for Elizabeth Skelton passed; two trustees abstained from that vote because of family relationships and abstentions were noted on the record.
The board also approved a list of initial, continuing and nonteaching contracts after a closed executive-session discussion.
Votes were cast by voice; when trustees said "Aye" the chair called the motions carried and no roll-call tallies were read for several items.
