TCTV returns to Scout Hall, expands digital-equity services and will cover Montapalooza

TCTV announced its return to Scout Hall after eight months away and outlined community services the station will resume and expand.

Hosts Ian Dolan (S1) and Erin Bresnahan (S2) said the station will resume filming from Scout Hall and invited residents to bring tapes, LPs and cassettes for digital conversion. “After 8 months of trials and tribulations, TCTV is back in Scout Hall,” Dolan said.

The hosts said TCTV used part of a digital-equity grant to develop digital-literacy content and host tech-help sessions at the Templeton Senior Center; two sessions have already been held and another is planned in April. “Since TCTV obtained part of a digital equity grant, we've been providing content, information, and resources to help residents with digital literacy,” Bresnahan said.

The program also highlighted the montachussett.tv website, which now includes a page for TCTV with links to meetings and past recordings, and promoted Montapalooza, a regional arts festival featuring local musicians and artisans that TCTV plans to cover.

Hosts encouraged residents to check montachussett.tv for event listings and noted TCTV hopes to pursue digital-signage opportunities using available state earmark funds, although officials said final allocation decisions will involve the Massachusetts Regional Planning Commission.
