Board continues Irons In The Firecrest preliminary plat to June 4, 2026

The Matanuska‑Susitna Borough Planning Board continued action on the Irons In The Firecrest preliminary plat to the June 4, 2026 meeting after staff said the petitioner requested more time to work with the City of Palmer.

Planning staff Chris Kurland said the petitioner asked the board to continue the request for a preliminary plat that would create six lots in Palmer. A board motion to continue the item to the June 4 meeting was moved by a planning member (speaker 5) and seconded by planning member Kevin (speaker 7); the motion passed without objection.

Planning staff also noted that 136 public notices were mailed on November 12, 2025, for this item. The board kept the public hearing open in case the petitioner or members of the public wished to provide additional material before the continued date.
