Town Administrator Eric Phillips told the Eatonville Town Council on March 9 that the town has received approval to award the Eatonville Highway Overlay bid and has already paved Prospect Street E. He said budgeting currently allows the town to pave Prospect Street W as well.
Phillips reported the town did not receive the charging‑station grant it sought. He said a recent wage increase for the town planner has enabled staff to be more aggressive in submitting grant applications going forward.
On a separate infrastructure item, Phillips said the estimates for the Community Center generator exceed the available budget; the project will be advertised for bids and staff hope for competitive responses. He also reported the reservoir requires repairs; the town plans to order the necessary parts and include the cost in an upcoming budget amendment. No dollar figures for generator estimates or reservoir repairs were provided in the minutes.
In related operational matters, the Police Department is focusing on recruitment, and Councilmember Colin Stephens requested a report showing the number of hours over the past 90 days that the town did not have coverage from its own officers. Councilmember Kyle Litzenberger asked for an update on removal of the Flock cameras. The meeting record does not include follow‑up dates for those specific requests.
