Staff presented a multi-item consent package for the upcoming voting meeting that included grant amendments for Chris Mound Brown Park, authorization to issue RFPs for carpeting and asphalt paving, adoption of a county safety action plan, acceptance of donated AEDs and a vehicle donation, and initiation of an internship program with Middle Tennessee State University.
On the park sewer extension, staff requested consensus to publish a bid solicitation for the Chris Mound Brown Park sewer access and reported that appraisals and right-of-way work are in progress; commissioners provided consensus to proceed with the bidding process.
Other consent items on the list included adjustments to the municipal fee schedule, first-reading ordinance language for fire protection and pyrotechnics, and a request to authorize a County interlocal for CentralSquare software licensing. Staff said many items were routine or grant-funded and recommended inclusion on the April voting agenda.
What happens next: Consent items will appear on the next voting agenda; staff will issue the sewer solicitation and continue easement negotiations with Metro Water Services.
