Cedar County supervisors approve routine items, appointments and set next meeting date

The Cedar County Board of Supervisors approved routine administrative business on March 24, including the meeting agenda, the March 17 minutes and payroll disbursements for the pay period ending March 14, 2026. The Board appointed Dan Roberts to the Zoning Board of Adjustment and Al Kroeger to the Planning & Zoning Board (terms to expire December 31, 2028).

The Board acknowledged correspondence, including a notice of new hire for Corrections Officer Susan Dykema‑Sterner (effective April 8, 2026, starting wage $24.87/hour) and a voluntary resignation from Caitlin Boyle, Environmental & Zoning Administrative Assistant (effective April 3, 2026). The Board approved a handwritten disbursement of $5,758.93 to the Cedar County Treasurer for self‑funded medical claims.

Other actions included approval of a $100 utility permit fee for Alliant Energy on 290th Street and adjournment at 11:10 a.m. to the Board’s next scheduled meeting on March 31, 2026. Auditor Nicki Welch signed the minutes; Chairperson Jon J. Bell presided.
