The Upper Perkiomen School Board used part of its April 11 meeting to recognize winter athletic achievements. Athletic Director Mr. Kurzweig and coaches introduced and thanked student athletes and coaches for strong seasons.
Coaches highlighted the girls-wrestling program’s first-year success and singled out Kaylin Adair for leadership. Boys-wrestling coaches noted freshman Sean Murray went 37–10 with 18 pins and finished sixth in the Southeast Regional Tournament; senior Brandon Rozanski finished his career with 117 wins and was a three-time PIAA state qualifier. Coach Steve Adam described both athletes as team leaders and high achievers.
Swimming coach Brian Kalnowski honored junior Hunter Francisco as the district AA champion in the 500 freestyle and said Hunter earned an all-state honorable mention after finishing 13th among AA swimmers in the state. The coach mentioned a district time reported in the transcript as “17.36 seconds”; that value appears in the meeting record but is likely a transcription error for an actual district time and the official event time was not specified in the board record.
Students and coaches thanked administrators and community members for support; the board applauded the honorees and encouraged families to attend upcoming events including Arts Fest and graduation.
