Hillside school board advances multiple agenda bundles, asks staff for building-timeline details

The Hillside Public School District board met in regular session and approved a series of bundled agenda items covering organization, finance, buildings and grounds, education, policy and labor, and closed the meeting after routine recognitions and announcements.

President Dr. Howard opened the business portion of the meeting and members moved and seconded motions to take multiple agenda bundles up for roll call. The finance bundle (items 1–8) was moved by Miss Aguirre and seconded; the buildings-and-grounds package was raised and several line items were either pushed or advanced for further timelines and scheduling. "I can get back to you with those timelines," the clerk said when asked about when work on buildings item 1 would start and whether spaces would need to close.

Before the education roll call, a board member asked the superintendent which staff and schools would benefit from education item 7. The superintendent replied, "This would be both gen ed teachers and special education teachers. District wide."
