Dr. Cremascoli reported to the Wilmette School District 39 Committee of the Whole on March 16 that the district’s strategic-planning process is progressing and has included broad stakeholder engagement.
"So far, we have met with, well, more than 600 participants so far in, more than 50 different focus groups," Dr. Cremascoli said, and credited facilitator Pat Greco of Studer Education with distilling themes from stakeholder input.
Cremascoli said the district will draft a brief survey targeted to parents and staff that will launch after spring break (mid-April is the aim) to help prioritize areas of focus for the next five years. The timeframe given calls for a draft strategic plan to be presented to the board for approval in June.
Board members were invited to participate and to look for the community survey; no public comments were offered during the meeting.
Next steps: the district will launch the survey mid-April and return a draft strategic plan to the board in June for consideration.
