The Wilmot Union High School District will offer an additional PAC (transcripted) course next year in partnership with the University of Wisconsin–Parkside, staff said. The course — foundations in education — would be taught by a district teacher, accommodate up to 25 students and carry a student cost of roughly $340 for materials.
"Our relationship with Parkside is very, very strong," said a district presenter, adding the course would give students college credit and build on existing education offerings. The course will be brought to the board for formal approval at the end of the month.
Later in the meeting the board moved into procedural business and voted by roll call to convene a closed session to discuss an administrator contract. During the roll call, the following board members were named and recorded as voting "Yes": Nate Colborne; Joy Corona; Mike Matz; Betsy Ross; Melissa Samborski; and Wing Tranjo. The motion carried and the board prepared to go into closed session.
No additional details about the administrator contract were disclosed in open session.
