Duchesne County approves amended interlocal agreement adding Daggett County to Uintah Basin Narcotics Strike Force

Duchesne County commissioners on March 23 approved an amended interlocal agreement expanding the Uintah Basin Narcotic Strike Force to include Daggett County and authorized Commissioner Jeff Chugg to sign the agreement on the county's behalf.

Commissioner Jeff Chugg said Daggett County requested to join the Strike Force, and Deputy Attorney Grant Charles noted that the Strike Force itself voted unanimously at a recent meeting to add Daggett County under the Strike Force arrangement that operates in part under Vernal City jurisdiction. The commission discussed how member jurisdictions and Vernal City interact within the Strike Force structure.

Commissioner Tracy Killian moved to approve Resolution No. 26-01, a resolution approving the amended interlocal agreement establishing the Uintah Basin Narcotic Strike Force, and to authorize Commissioner Chugg to execute the agreement for the county. Commissioner Chugg seconded the motion; Commissioners Killian, Chugg and Chairman Greg Miles voted aye and the motion passed unanimously.
